A profile at 100% on Naukri can still be a PDF whose bullets extract underneath the wrong employer, and a resume that parses perfectly can sit under a half-filled Naukri profile. How to see your actual Naukri score
It is on Naukri, free, and takes a minute:
- Sign in to Naukri and open your profile.
- The completeness meter sits at the top of the profile page, with the unfilled sections listed under it.
- Fill what it names — resume headline, key skills, employment details, education, profile photo. Each one moves the meter.
- Upload your resume file last, so the profile it parses from is the finished one.
That is the whole mechanism. There is no hidden grade and nothing to unlock; the meter is a checklist with a percentage on it.
Why the file matters more
Your Naukri profile works on Naukri. The PDF you attach to every application works everywhere else — company career portals, referral emails, LinkedIn Easy Apply, campus placement portals — and every one of those runs it through a parser first.
That parse fails quietly. A resume can render beautifully and still hand over a phone number with the punctuation stripped, a heading split one character at a time, or a skills list that extracts ahead of your name. Nothing on screen tells you. The checker above shows you the extracted text itself, which is the only way to know. The rubric is published — all eight categories and what each deduction costs.
If the score comes back low
Every deduction names its own fix, so a low score is a list of edits rather than a verdict. You can make them in whatever you already use.
