Before you buy

Can I get a refund?

Full refund any time before your first download, self-serve, no questions asked. After that the sale is final — except for rendering faults, which we refund either way. The button is next to the payment in Account → Billing.

What happens when a subscription ends?

Your three most recently edited resumes are saved as PDFs you keep forever, and editing pauses. Nothing is deleted or hidden, and subscribing again restores everything immediately. Subscriptions do not renew themselves.

Will I be charged again automatically?

No. There is no auto-renewal anywhere in the product. A subscription is charged once, runs for its stated term, and then stops. Nobody is charged by surprise.

AI and your data

Does the AI make things up?

It is forbidden from inventing employers, job titles, dates, degrees or credentials — a hard constraint with no exceptions. Where it suggests a number it cannot verify, it marks it as an unconfirmed estimate, highlights it in amber, and lists every one of them before you download.

Do you train AI on my resume?

No. Requests go only to providers that do not retain or train on the content, pinned in configuration, and the app refuses to start in production if that configuration is missing.

What happens to a resume I upload?

We extract the text, turn it into structured data, and delete the file immediately. It is never written to storage.

What happens to a photo I upload?

Location and camera data are stripped before anything is stored, and we keep your three most recent photos. Enhanced photos are shown softened everywhere in the app; the sharp version exists only inside a PDF you have paid for. Deleting a photo deletes its bytes.

Is dictation sent to a server?

In Chrome, Edge and Safari, no — speech recognition runs in the browser itself and no audio leaves your machine. In browsers without it, a short clip is sent for transcription and discarded once transcribed. Either way the transcript lands in a text box you edit before anything is done with it.

Editing and downloads

Can I edit after I have paid?

Yes, always. Buying never locks your resume. The version you paid for stays in your library and stays downloadable forever; downloading a later, edited version is a new purchase.

Why is the preview watermarked?

Because the download is the product. The preview is deliberately images rather than text, so it cannot be copied or printed into a free PDF.

Where are my purchased PDFs?

Under Account → Downloads. Every file you have bought, and every file frozen when a subscription ended, is listed there with the date it was created and the date you last downloaded it. They do not expire.

Your account

Can I change the name and phone number on my account?

Yes, under Account. They are used to prefill the header of a new resume and for nothing else — we never call or message you. Your sign-in email comes from Google and cannot be changed here.

How do I delete my account?

Account → Delete account. Access ends immediately and everything — resumes, versions, photos and purchased PDFs — is erased within 30 days. Signing in again during that window offers you the chance to cancel the deletion; after it, nothing is recoverable.

Do you guarantee I will get a job?

No, and anyone who does is selling you something. FinalCV makes a resume that reads well and survives applicant tracking systems. What happens after you send it is not something we can promise.
