Azure resume template

The one genuine two-column layout in this set: a deep blue rail carries your photo, contact details and skills as pills, leaving the main flow for experience. Because the rail is emitted last in the markup and placed into the left column by grid, the extracted text still begins with your name and summary rather than a skills list — which is not true of most two-column templates on the market. It suits creative, design and customer-facing roles, and it is the only one here built around a portrait.

What it is not good for

A PDF's text extracts page by page, so on a two-page resume the rail's text lands after whatever fitted on page one. The content is all there and the order within each page is right, but byte-identical extraction is lost — the score report prints a zero-point note saying so rather than hiding it.

What an ATS extracts from it

Below are the first lines of page one, taken from a real render of our sample resume in this template and extracted with pdfjs on . Line breaks are the extractor’s.

EXPERIENCE
Northwind Payments Mar 2022 - Present
Senior Backend Engineer San Francisco, CA
Led the decomposition of a 400k-line billing monolith into eight event-driven
services, cutting median deploy time from 45 minutes to under 4.
Designed an idempotent ledger write path that eliminated double-charge
incidents entirely across 40M daily requests.
Cut p99 checkout latency by roughly 35% by replacing synchronous fraud
checks with a queued scoring pipeline .

This template has a side column, so one guarantee is different here and we would rather state it than bury it: a PDF’s text extracts page by page, which means on a two-page resume the column’s text lands after whatever fitted on page one. The order within each page is still Summary → Experience → Education, which is what parsers are calibrated against. See two-column resumes and ATS.

Its score on our own rubric

Our sample resume, rendered in this template at normal density, scores 92 out of 100. The deductions that remain are properties of the sample’s writing, not of the template — which is the point of showing it: the layout is not what is costing points.

Your own resume will differ — this is one document measured in eight templates so the comparison between them means something.
